Specialized in pneumatic components for industrial automation, SMC has renewed the series of ZFC in-line air filters and has presented the digital positioning sensor Series ISA3. Let us examine these two novelties in detail, starting from the ZFC line that now offers the availability of two new sizes, ZFC1 and ZFC3, of small sizes and with diameters of the standard outer applicable tube of 2, 3,2 and 1/8”. Like the other models of the series, the new sizes can be used with positive pressure up to 1.0 MPa and with a vacuum level included between -100.0 and 0.0 kPa, values available in a single unit, and with high flow rates (up to 650 l/min, in conditions of positive pressure). The possibility of using the ZFC series for positive pressure and vacuum and of working with a broader range of applicable tubes simplifies the filter choice and decreases the spare parts in stock. Concerning the new digital positioning sensor of the ISA3 Series, it is a device easily mounted, thanks to the addition of centralized cable and manifold.
