EliXir changes the filter concept
EliXir ranks among the new-borns by MP Filtri. It is a new filter concept for in-line connections to handle low working pressures up to 16 bars. Available in 3 series and 4 sizes, the new generation of products developed by the Milanese company promises a revolution in terms of design, reliability, duration and environment protection. Cast aluminium heads and the bowl nylon design allow reducing the overall weight by 10% compared, for instance, to previous Spin-On ranges. The new design inherent to the connection between the head and the filter element and between the head and the bowl improves the reliability of the overall sealing system and makes it very suitable for applications in agricultural and forestry field, as well as for construction machines.
The lower environmental impact is granted by the possible replacement of the only FEX filtering element during maintenance interventions. «This innovation –Sanna highlights – conforms to our strategy and will of supplying the hydraulic sector with a more and more performing product, able to interpret the new requirements of low carbon footprint and environment protection. Until not so many years ago, in fact, these aspects were at least of secondary relevance in many work ambits: just consider the agricultural world, today driven by renovated awareness and by the effects of regulations (i.e. TIER 5) that require manufacturers to find solutions that allow better protecting the environment. Precisely to comply with this trend, stems our idea of proposing an alternative solution to standard Spin-On systems, converting and adapting technologies already experimented successfully in various industrial sectors. EliXir® will be able to provide important benefits, due to its features such as low weight and higher filter flow rate, making the difference especially in maintenance phases. Our solution, in fact, allows replacing and disposing the only filtering element».
