High filtration efficiency is the pre requisite for high air quality while a low pressure drop helps to save energy. Having this in mind, Atlas Copco’s filtration competence team invested a lot in fundamental research and development.  Recently, the company presented their latest generation of filters: DD+, PD+, DDp+ and PDp+ filters.

New micro-glass fiber filter media and a six layer wrapped construction ensure a high purity filtration and a guaranteed performance over the filter lifetime. Moreover, the performance is  independent on the relative humidity. The perforated stainless steel metal cores were enhanced to ensure ultimate mechanical strength and drastically reduce the risk of implosion.

DD+ and PD+ Filters for the filtration of oil aerosols

Compared to the previous generation the pressure drop of the new DD+ and PD+ filters has been reduced and at the same time the oil carry over decreased by more than 20%.

DDp+ and PDp+ Filters for the filtration of solid particles

These new dust filters have extremely high particle removal efficiencies of  99,92 % (DDp+) and 99,98 % (PDp+).   Evi Bultinck , Filter Media Specialist at Atlas Copco Airpower:  “The filters are now fully certified according to ISO standards by notified bodies, both in-house as well as in external labs. This third party certification ensures our customers the air quality they require. On top of that, the new Atlas Copco filters bring a substantial energy saving.”
