The coil 257 by ATAM is ATEX- and IECEx- approved for gases and dusts up to Zone 1 and it is guaranteed for applications up to M2
ATAM, reference company in the ambit of encapsulated coils and industrial connections, adds a new product to its portfolio: the coil 257 that completes the broad range of encapsulated explosion-proof coils, purposely studied for applications in potentially explosive environments. The coil 257 is intended for all most exacting applications of the pneumatic sector and features ATEX and IECEx approvals for gases and dusts up to Zone 1, for applications up to M2, as guarantee of the utmost use safety, even in the harshest conditions like in mines. It stands out for a UL-approved casing developed to improve the protection of internal components and includes a precision thermo-fuse placed in direct contact with the outer encapsulation surface of the coil. Encapsulation materials have been the subject of important researches on the heat resistance profile, to the extent of complying with the requisites of all three Glow Wire Tests, while domestic applications are guaranteed by ISO EN 60335-1 requisites. The new 257 ATAM is also enriched with an important characteristic: customers can choose the cable length with which it is supplied according to their requirements, thus simplifying connection operations inside the valve.
