From Denmark to the american market: Mattei confirms its key role in the industrial, milk, food and biogas sector
Mattei Group, the Vimodrone company specialized in the production of rotary vane compressors continues to grow in international markets, both European and overseas, thanks to the partnerships with its network of distributors.
The long partnership with Ja Trykluft
In particular we are talking about the ongoing twenty-year-long partnership with JA Trykluft ApS, a Danish company, whose partnership is based on trust and mutual choice which focuses on the quality of products on the one hand, and on the other the knowledge the market.
Andreas Skjold, founder and CEO of the Danish company, who is an authorized Mattei distributor has been collaborating with the Vimodrone group since 2005, the same year in which the company was born: «There are many reasons for choosing to work with Mattei, the exclusivity of the rotary vane technology is its strong suit. We are a company that offers optimal solutions for the production of compressed air, and in addition to the installment, we offer a prime-quality technical assistance service. Many of our competitors are not aware of the rotary vane technology, therefore they cannot offer the same assistance services, which is our foremost competitive advantage», explains further, «That, is essential, whoever buys a rotary vane compressor notices right away the advantages of this technology. In Denmark we say, “if you sell one rotary vane compressor, selling the second one is easy” because our clients are sold on our trustworthiness and its “life span”. We have installed compressors that have lasted for 100,000 hours, if not more».
Mattei: technological exclusivity, flexibility and more
Technological exclusivity, trustworthiness and life span are fundamental; however, they are only some of the reasons why Skjold chose Mattei, «Flexibility, planning and the ability to listen to its clients are equally important. I like to carefully chose my suppliers, it’s important that they are trustworthy, but flexible at the same time. Especially in the gas application sector, we have already requested some customizations and the planning and engineering department at Mattei met our requests in a more than willing manner. In the field, we are in the top ten leading companies in Denmark and we like to work with suppliers that have a similar dimension to ours, it’s easier to understand one another».
Skjold has a clear idea as to why clients chose the Mattei rotary vane compressors, «Efficiency, operating life-span and low maintenance costs. We never have to intervene and do lots of technical work, besides the ordinary work for which we have specific kits such as the oil and air filter as well as other components. After 15,000 hours, the Mattei rotary vane compressors maintain the same performance, whereas the other compressors start losing efficiency and request more maintenance which is costly».
JA Trykluft ApS is a precious observation post to be able to evaluate the Danish market. «We are active in three sectors: agricultural companies with the milking robot in the production of milk, biogas and in the industry in general from food to mechanics wherever compressed air is necessary – Skjold clarifies – even though its not an easy moment, we have many active offers and I believe that in the next half of the year we will see a comeback. The are important signs from the construction of gas plants sector, especially in Norway where shortly we will be starting two other units of AGi 110 in a new membrane technology plant. We are also working on other projects. The American market is interesting as well, where were are in an active partnership with a supplier of upgrading systems. Nevertheless, the American market has got peculiarities. Agricultural holdings are much bigger compared to European ones, which can reach about 16,000 livestock, therefore there is much more potential for the creation of biogas that; however, it is used “onsite” because the distribution network is much less developed».
Over the years, Andreas Skjold has matured knowledge of the field and he remembers clearly the plants installed by him in his career also thanks to his colleague Johan Kold, a true rotary vane technology enthusiast. «It’s fundamental that the compressors that I have installed work well. If something doesn’t work, I have to intervene, it’s my responsibility, but I must say that normally we catch the problem right away, even if it’s complicated».
