The power that makes the difference

In the Fifties, Luciano Baron establishes in Bassano del Grappa, 70 km from Venice, EBL -Elettromeccanica Baron Luciano, company specialized in the design and manufacturing of electric motors and rotary electric machines.

Elvem test room features three certified test benches of the latest generation

In the late Sixties, when EBL is already a consolidated renowned reality, Luciano Baron gives birth to Elvem Motori Elettrici with the goal of satisfying with flexibility a more and more dynamic market. Today Elvem is acknowledged in the market of electric motors in Italy and in over 40 Countries in the world, with a widespread network of resellers and agents.
The second generation manages the company, with particular focus on technological innovation and development.

Due to the stock that almost reaches 100,000 finished motors (including also IE4-efficiency electric motors, with Permanent Magnets, NEMA and Average Voltage), components and semi-finished products, Elvem assures a complete service to customers.

Highlights: 3 essential elements

Elvem’s growth strategy is based on 3 essential elements:

1.One of Elvem’s strong points is the possibility of customizing the product according to specific demands, testing it in state-of-the-art test chambers. An example is represented by specific motors for the food industry; self-braking models used for woodworking machines, up to theatres; motors for high or low temperatures; ATEX for zones with high explosion risks caused by the presence of gases and powders, such as for instance grinding and mixing areas.

Since July 1st 2021, all three-phase asynchronous motors from 0.75 to 1000 kW will be required to have the minimum IE3 efficiency level

2.Elvem takes care of its motors’ casing, both of aluminium or cast iron, and along the years it has decided making it more and more compact, handy and suitable for favouring heat dissipation. Meanwhile, the company is focused on the offer of a high-performance product that allows decreasing energy absorptions to reduce consumptions and environmental impact, in compliance with the parameters of the European, Commission’s regulation “EU 2019/1781”.

In fact, since July 1st 2021, all three-phase asynchronous motors from 0.75 to 1000 kW (with 2, 4, 6 and 8 poles, with the exception of “Ex eb” with increased safety and single-phase) will be required to have the minimum IE3 efficiency level. Elvem not only has been already able to supply all of its motors in IE3 efficiency but it is also ready to satisfy those who are more oriented to higher efficiencies and energy saving, through IE4 series and IE4+ Permanent Magnet motors. The latter combine the high precision in the control of the synchronous motor’s typical speed with the simple sturdy design of an asynchronous motor and they can be used in various sectors. Special benefit goes to those ambits where the weight, casing sizes and maintenance costs are crucial.

3.Offering an efficient, fast and customized service to its customers is the philosophy that has always inspired Elvem, matching the typical skills of the Italian craftmanship with a reality that can meet customers’ requirements dynamically and flexibly.
