Guinnes World Record valve sets sail for Saudi Arabia

Record-breaking valve shipped from the Port of Trieste using unique heavy-lift infrastructure

At the Seadock quay (Samer Group) in the port of Trieste, the complex operation of loading the enormous valve produced by Orion Valves and destined for Saudi Arabia by sea was successfully completed.

The Seadock quay (Samer Group) was able to handle the delicate loading phases thanks to the high operational capabilities that distinguish this port facility, a benchmark for the most critical handling operations. In particular, the Seadock quay has a 450-tonne crane, the only one in the Adriatic, which is essential for handling loads of this size and type. The presence of this crane is a key feature of the infrastructure available in the port of Trieste, ensuring competitiveness in operations that require specialised equipment.

This mission concluded the journey of the valve, manufactured mainly in Trieste and Cividale by Orion Valves, highlighting the strategic role of Trieste’s port infrastructure in supporting international industrial projects, with a particular focus on the quality of services and technical capabilities available.
