Supported by the sound know-how gained, Pizzirani, historical Tuscan company, offers a consulting and assistance service since the design phase and, besides the standard product range, it implements tailored solutions.
Commitment, investments and constant growth: three are the elements that have characterized the evolution of Pizzirani. The company, which precisely this year has celebrated fifty years of activity, was established in 1968 and is specialized in the distribution of industrial technical items. From a retail shop of technical products, in the course of the years, the founder and President in charge Orlando Pizzirani, with a clear vision of the market prospects, has transformed the company, first moving it to its Poggibonsi headquarters in 1981, employing up to 12 workers, then in 1998 to the new premises at Colle di Val d’Elsa, built on 4000 m² and including offices and warehouse, with a staff of about 25 employees. «In 2004 a second adjacent warehouse was bought to support the business growth on the domestic market and to contribute in the company’s transformation from reseller of technical and motion transmission articles into company distributing solutions made with its own brand, and designed to satisfy specific requirements – explained Giorgio Aggio, Technical Manager – More in detail, our production is concentrated on belts, pulleys and conical bushings, rubber sheets, hoses on chuck and long length, chains, adjustable motor mountings and hose clamps». In 2017, the headquarters were completed by a new warehouse, thus enlarging the total surface to 9,000 m², and the working team is today composed by 30 people. «Today we approach the European market with the determination of obtaining the same success that has led us to be a leader reference company in Italy» added the manager.
Small overall dimensions and high performances
In the ambit of the broad offer of solutions for the power transmission world, the sector of agricultural machine components currently represents 30% of the Tuscan company’s business. Power transmissions solutions intended for this market are manifold indeed, that is to say standard and special pulleys, locking systems such as conical bushings and keying systems, trapezoidal and toothed transmission belts and metal chains. In addition, hoses for the passage of alimentary solids and liquids (cereals, wine and oil), metal hose clamps, rubber sheets for different applications». «We aim at enhancing our presence by the manufacturers of agricultural and agri-food machines – specified Giorgio Aggio – Even if the agricultural machine world is still very conservatory, manufacturers submit manifold demands for obtaining higher and higher performances and efficiency of transmissions with unchanged footprint, especially in shredders. In these cases, in-depth studies are necessary to optimize the machines by using suitable pulley diameters but especially performing state-of-the-art transmission belts, like our new EVOLUTION that offer performance increments up to 100% without increasing overall dimensions, therefore without rise of costs and weights in the final solution». The most frequent requests concern the product availability in very short terms: «The competitiveness race needs efficient components and systems at competitive costs and with immediate availability – ended Aggio – In these years, our targets are: further increasing our stocking capacity and going on developing solutions with more and more favourable quality /price/characteristics ratio, to be put at disposal of the customers that will follow us and will collaborate in the success of this challenge».
