Family-owned company but with a mentality oriented to a long-term vision and to internationalization. This is Nord Drivesystems, German Group operating in Italy with a branch, that has recently celebrated its first 25 years of activity.

Nord Motoriduttori supplies the whole Group with asynchronous motors in all the voltages of the world, motors from IE1 to IE4, Atex motors, special variants and motors in conformity with the main international regulations.The productive unit at San Giovanni in Persiceto, headquarters of Nord Motoriduttori, consists of a covered area taking up 14,500 sq. m. able to house additional motor production lines and an area intended for the assembling of reduction gears.

About 200 customers, suppliers and collaborators, besides representatives of the German parent company, local authorities and guests from the academic world. These are the guests of the event that Nord Motoriduttori, Italian branch of the Group Nord Drivesystems organized at its factory, headquartered at San Giovanni in Persiceto (Bologna, Italy) to celebrate the first 25 years of activity. An opportunity also to see from close up the recent widening of the productive unit and the efficiency of the manufacturing technologies of the specialist of motors and drives. A visit that has led the participants to attend with utmost attention the conference organized inside the new assembling and stocking area, recently inaugurated.

After the usual welcome greetings by Marco Mearini, general manager of the Italian branch, the floor was then given to Mrs Jutta Humbert, representative of the Küchenmeister family that owns 100% of the Nord Drivesystems property. With her speech, followed with utmost attention, she traced the profile of the Group, of its values and the presence in the world: they are in fact about 3,000 the employees widespread in the 35 branches, for a total of 60 involved Countries, thanks to the activity to which a diffused net of distribution and after sale service is committed.

The product excellence speaks also Italian

«We are very satisfied with our performances in the last decade –said Mearini – especially considering the demanding state of the European economy. Today Nord Group ranks steadily second among the suppliers of complete drive solutions. We intend to strengthen this position and to gain market shares. Our strategy is based on various assets. We will naturally go on with the product development driven by the market, strict relationships with customers and complete customer support ».

Due to the growth of the automation degree in several sectors, the demand for drive systems is in fact constantly shifting from components to complete solutions.
